Shipping
We wish that we didn't have to charge extra for shipping, but getting the goods to our customers costs money. We currently use USPS Priority Mail for all regular shipments. If you want us to ship regular parcel post, let us know and we will compare to get you lower shipping costs.
How long does shipping take?
In-stock items are shipped within 2-3 business days. No shipments ever go out on Sundays or Federal Holidays. Priority Mail generally takes 2-5 postal days to arrive. If you require an alternative shipping method times will vary. PayPal will add the shipping and sales tax after you have entered your credit card information. Please keep that in mind when you are viewing your cart.

Do you ship to countries outside the United States?
We regularly only ship to the United States and Canada. Canadian deliveries, please note that delivery times run longer (generally 2-3 weeks) and may be subject to a duty surcharge. Please note that all prices on our site are in US Dollars and you will need to use PayPal's features to do any conversion during checkout.

How do you figure shipping on Bulk and Wholesale orders?
Bulk orders are processed as we get them, and many items may not be in stock. We will include the approximate ship date with your estimate. In order to keep shipping costs low for everyone, we reserve the right to charge
actual shipping plus an additional handling fee on large orders. Estimated shipping costs will be included in the order estimate sent for your approval. We will often compare rates for USPS and UPS Ground to make sure we are getting you the better deal. Bulk and Wholesale orders will be insured & tracked. My package arrived and the box is labeled "Live Samples!" What is that?
At Northwoods Baby we are trying to reduce the amount of waste that enters our landfills. One way we do this is to re-use boxes and packing materials from things people send us as well as periodic "re-use it" campaigns at the local college. If you get a box labelled "test-tubes" that is why. Please keep in mind that we only accept boxes and packing materials that are safe and have not had direct contact with anything "nasty" or dangerous.

Ordering Questions
I have questions about my order, who do I ask?

I want something in a different size, or it is out of stock....
If you would like to order a product that we normally carry, but it simply is out of stock, email us at
orders@northwoodsbaby.com. Include in your message what the item is, which size, and the desired pattern. Also be sure to include a return email address so that we can get right back to you. It is likely that we are already working to refill this item. We will write back to you with the date we expect to have that item in stock again. At that time we will give you the option of placing an order for the item in advance or simply waiting and having us notify you when the item is back in stock (you can then go and place the order normally through our website).
If you are looking for something we carry, but you want a size that we don't have listed, feel free to email us at the above email address with a request. We will see what we can do and get right back to you.
How do I place a custom order?
Custom Orders will generally be pattern or color related, but we may also custom dye items and/ or sizes outside of our normal stock. If you have a request, please email it to us at
orders@northwoodsbaby.com and we will get back to you on whether we think we can do the job. We will also give you a cost estimate. Be sure to include your email address in the message so we can get back to you quickly! A custom order could simply be a onesie with a two color swirl (different colors than we normally carry) or it could be more involved like a sweatshirt with the letter "J" tie dyed onto the front. Usually custom colors and simple changes will be the same price as an in stock item, but we do reserve the right to quote you an individual price.
What is a Bulk Order discount, and do I qualify?
Want to deck out your entire little league team with tie dye t-shirts? We may be able to do the dying for you! If you or your group is looking at an order of more than 10-15 shirts (or any one item) you may also be eligible for bulk discounts. We will do shirts in larger sizes than we normally carry. Prices will vary, please email us at
orders@northwoodsbaby.com with details on what you are looking for and we will get back to you. Please be sure to include an email address so that we can get back to you quickly. All bulk orders are priced according to the job.
If you are ordering between 5 and 10 of any one regularly stocked item (example: 8 pairs of rainbow kids socks) we request that you please handle it through bulk ordering. You will not receive a bulk discount, but we ask you to do this so that we can better serve all of our online customers. Sometimes quantities are limited and we want to make sure that we have what you want available. Please email a request to

Can I purchase your stuff Wholesale?

Payment
How do I pay with a credit card?
You can quickly and safely pay for all of your purchases online using a credit card at PayPal. You will be able to pay directly from our shopping cart. PayPal accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, and you can also pay by e-check. Worried about using your credit card over the internet? PayPal automatically encrypts your information and transmits only through SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol with the highest level of encryption commercially available.
Sorry, but we can not accept credit cards over the phone or through the mail at this time. If you do not use your credit card online, check out our check option below.
Can I pay by other methods (eg: check)?
You can pay for your purchases using either a personal check or money order/ cashier's check. Email a copy of your order to
orders@NorthwoodsBaby.com. We will then send you a confirmation email with the final cost. You can then mail us your check or money order. This notifies us right away that we should set your order aside to guarantee that it will be ready to ship when your check comes off of hold. Be sure to include your email address or a phone number we can call with you total!
All personal check orders will be held for 10 days while the check clears. Orders placed with a money order or cashier's check will be shipped when payment arrives. We reserve the right to charge you up to $25 in fees for any checks returned unpaid.

PayPal is a well established and trusted site for sending money over the internet. They use a secure connection with the highest level of encryption commercially available today. We are currently accepting online payments through PayPal because we wanted to be sure that we were offering you the most convenient and secure option that we knew we could trust. Return Policy
In order to make your online shopping experience a great one, we try to have a fairly generous return policy. It is our goal to provide products that you would never want to return, but that isn't always possible. If you would like to return an item for any reason, please send an email to
returns@northwoodsbaby.com before sending the items or to ask any questions you may have about your return or exchange. We will email you back with details on how your return will be processed. Refunds are only available to the original purchaser with a valid receipt. Persons who received the items as a gift or who are missing the original receipt are only eligible for exchange. Please see the sections below for more specific return policies. Sorry, we can not refund shipping costs.
Incorrect Shipments or Defective Items:
Contact us as soon as possible if any of our products are found to be incorrect or defective. We will attempt to correct the situation quickly at no additional cost to you.
Clothing:
We will accept returns on clothing that is unused and unwashed. (Please, leave any tags on while trying on for size. If the tags are torn off, they must still accompany the item for a return.) We will accept clothing returns up to 30 days after the original purchase date for a full refund. If you are unhappy with the clothing after washing it, we will take it back (assuming it is still in good condition) within 30 days of the purchase date for a refund or exchange, minus a 15% restocking fee. Exchanges will be based on current item prices at the time of the exchange.
Skincare:
Little Forest products can be returned within 30 days if you are not satisfied. Unused Marsh Meadows products can be returned for up to 30 days from original purchase.
Other products:
Other unused products can be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date. Some used products can be returned for refund or exchange minus a 15% restocking fee. Contact us at

Gift Wrap & Receipts
We will wrap up to five items for FREE on any purchase. Items will be wrapped in a gender neutral, all occasion style. We will include a card if you like. Please state your preference in the Special Notes field on your order form and include a message you would like printed in the card. Gifts will be shipped with a gift receipt (no prices). Print out your email receipt for your own records, you will not receive another one! We can only issue refunds to the original purchaser; however, gift recipients are still eligible for exchange according to the terms in our
return policy.
IMPORTANT CHANGES:
Due to PayPal policy changes, shipping gifts to a serparate address has become more complicated. You can still fill out the recipient's address in the "Ship To" fields during checkout. Also note in the "Special Notes" field that this is a gift and whether you want it gift wrapped. Because of PayPal's new security policy, we will contact you (the purchaser) to confirm that this is a gift and that the shipping address is correct. This is to protect your credit record by catching persons making fraudulent purchases with your credit card. Shipping is rarely delayed by more than a day if you respond quickly to our email/ phone call. *Note: our confirmation will go to the address associated with your PayPal account, so don't forget to check it!*

not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any outside party. We do not agree with this practice and we will never do it! We also do not want to be responsible for spam. If you are receiving email from us that you do not want, please let us know so that we can take you off of our list (and we actually will!) You shouldn't be receiving any email from us unless you specifically signed up for it.
PayPal will not sell or rent any of your personally identifiable information to third parties. I have been a non-business PayPal member for several years and I can safely say that "don't send me offers" actually worked. I have not received email spam from them yet.
